Retouching is the stage that turns a technically correct raw file into an image you can actually use commercially. Ben Studio retouches both the images we shoot and raw files sent to us by clients, handling large volumes while keeping the colour tone consistent across the whole set.

What the work covers

Clipping and white background replacement, colour and temperature correction to match the real material, perspective correction and straightening of architectural lines, removal of blemishes and unwanted detail in frame, compositing products into interior settings, and normalising tone across an entire set of images.

Keeping large batches consistent

The hard part of processing hundreds of images is not any single frame, it is keeping the whole set looking like one body of work. We establish a colour standard for each batch and apply it throughout, then review every image individually rather than running an automated pass and leaving it there.

Sending us your own files

If you already have photographs that are not yet good enough for a catalogue or website, send us the raw files and we will work on them. Including one reference image you are happy with, or a description of the style you want, helps us match your expectations.

Frequently asked questions

Do you accept RAW files?

Yes. RAW gives far more latitude for colour work than JPEG, so results are usually better.

How long does retouching take?

It depends on the number of images and how much intervention is needed. Clipping and colour correction is much faster than compositing or rebuilding perspective. Send a few sample images and we will give you a realistic timeline.

Can you revise the work?

Yes. We revise against your feedback until the images meet the brief agreed at the start.

Tell us what you need and we will get back to you with a quote.
